JC Carter is the creator and host of the viral web series ‘Hopeless Romantic Society,’ a man-on-the-street style series that airs to 1M+ followers/subscribers across TikTok, Instagram and YouTube. With Hopeless Romantic Society, he is creating a safe space for connection and reflection, often highlighting those who are rarely in the spotlight -- people like me including queer folks, people of color, and those who live outside the ‘norm.’ Ultimately, this platform helps people like himself feel seen. 

 

Born and raised in the south as a queer black young man, JC has dedicated his life to telling authentic stories that humanizes his community and depict the nuances that make life confusing. Not only is he a viral phenomenon but he also has aspirations to write, produce, and act in projects that change the hearts and minds of the world.
